Intermediate courses
In the autumn of 2008 Matthew Thompson led a successful eight-week foil improvers course. In spring 2009 he took three novices foil refresher sessions for those who wished to brush up their foil basics. He then led a six-wek sabre course in February-April and a six-week intermediate foil course in May-July. No course was offered in the autumn of 2009 as both Olly Bickley and Matthew were fully occupied with the double group of beginners. In February-March 2010 Matthew led a four-week introductory épée course, and a six-week intermediate foil course from Friday 14 May to Friday 25 June 2010.
Refereeing
There was a successful refereeing training session on Friday 12 February, led by Matthew Thompson and Steven Williams. Further sessions may be offered in future.
