Oxford Fencing Club is a friendly club with a wide range of ages (from 8 upwards) and abilities (beginner to veterans international). We are affiliated to the British Fencing Association. Fencers from other clubs who have current full membership of the BFA are very welcome as occasional visitors.
The club meets in the sports centre of Rye St Antony School, Franklin Road, Headington, Oxford: see location.
The club fences twice weekly: Tuesday 8:00pm–10:00pm and Friday 7:15pm–9:45pm.

Coaches

Malcolm Allton has level 4 coaching accredition in all three weapons, many years’ competitive fencing experience, particularly in epee, and is a FIE-qualified International referee at epee and national at foil and sabre. Malcolm coaches mainly on Tuesdays, and runs our Sabre and Epee courses.

Martin Carter is a level 2 foil coach and the club armourer. He coaches each Friday and runs our advanced footwork sessions.

James Kingston is a qualified British Fencing Association coach registered with England Fencing. (level 2 in Foil, Epee and level 2 in Sabre). James runs our Friday sessions and beginners courses.
